October Beauty Buys

October beauty haul post – otherwise known as an excuse to go out and buy lots of new skincare products.

So I am a massive fan of nice things, no surprises there! I also think you shouldn’t have to spend a fortune on products, I don’t believe the more you spend the better the product, usually the more you spend the better the branding or marketing. A point proved by The Ordinary; after trying a lot of products in the range I can confirm this to be true.

I have never been someone who religiously follows a set routine; I think I have always been fortunate with my skin meaning I have been a little complacent over the years. With that in mind I am trying to get a bit better, time is no longer on my side and if I don’t get my act together, I’ll probably regret it one day.

Korean skincare routine

My inspiration – Korean women. They don’t leave the look of their skin to chance and instead follow a 10-step routine (knowledge thanks to my beauty expert friend) similar to this…

  1. Oil Cleanser
  2. Foam Cleanser
  3. Exfoliator
  4. Toner
  5. Essence (a lighter serum to you and I)
  6. Ampoules (a super charged serum)
  7. Serum
  8. Mask
  9. Eye Cream
  10. Face Cream

  1. Clean with water
  2. Toner
  3. Essence
  4. Serum
  5. Eye cream
  6. Moisturiser
  7. SPF
  8. Face Mist

Now I know what you’re thinking, who has time for all that, that’s what I’m thinking and I don’t have a 9-5. Nevertheless I am going to give it a go, I have all the products so lets try it. See if it actually works.

So back to the beauty haul. Here is where you can buy some of the products mentioned in the video…

Innisfree  For masks, essence and basically anything, its all great!

3CE  for the lip tint, BB cream and lots of other stylish makeup.

Fenty for the face papers, the foundation in every colour and the foundation brush which is also supposed to be epic according to Zoella!

Kocostar Long hair pack  Kocostar actually do lots of great products but this is the one that was recommended to me.

You can get the last three products from Sephora, they do ship to the UK but need to spend £75 and there is still a delivery charge.

Lazada in Malaysia also has lots of skincare and often has promotions if you pay with certain cards. Worth a look.
